ADE 2019 : Timetable

25 september 2019

Heavy, melodic, deep, electric and unique techno sounds. That is what this year’s STRAF_WERK ADE events are all about. Presenting two nights, STRAF_WERK will be a must-see this year.

On October 18 Kölsch and his label are going to take over de Kromhouthal. The Danish producer Kölsch started his label called IPSO and transformed it into an ever-expanding brand catalog. But what can you expect from his label that evening?

First of all, we have the big boss: Kölsch. He has sold millions of records all over the world. With influences of musical instruments, Kölsch has created his own sound. Already played at the biggest festivals all over the world, he is a well-known name in the techno scene.

Furthermore, we have Henrik Schwarz. An internationally music producer and composer known for his electric musical approach to composing and sound design. As a producer and performer, he had successfully maintained a balance between electronic music, classical and jazz.

Who also be playing is Patrice Baumel. He describes his style as ‘modern dance music for adults’. He infuses his productions and DJ sets with energy and a sense of adventure, creating a sound that satisfies the mind as well as the body.

And finally there’s Nicky Elisabeth. The sound of the young DJ and producer is best described as ‘melodic techno with a twist’. She strives to bring people together through the power of music. In the Dutch scene, she already left her mark and now the rest of the world will be getting to know her.

The day after. On Saturday 19, De Kromhouthal will turn a little bit darker with Ben Klock and his label Klockworks. They are bringing several heavy-weight techno acts. To begin with the man himself: Ben Klock. He is one of the most significant characters in the history of techno. His sets full of hypnotic, deep and heavy techno are legendary. They can even last up till 15 hours. It’s no surprise that when you talk about heavy techno, his name automatically pops up.

The second act of the night is a B2B set from Blawan and Freddy K. Jamie Roberts aka Blawan is a well-known techno artist. His discography illuminates a natural fluency for rhythm, whether straight, stridently syncopated, or swinging somewhere in between.

Freddy K has been a techno artist since the ‘90s. You can know him from his marathon DJ sets. Combine these two and you will have a perfect combo.

Then we have the techno boyband: FJAAK. Born and raised in Berlin where they organized illegal raves. After that, they became one of the most exciting live acts in the scene. Now they attracted worldwide attention with an alternative take on the classic techno and house.

Adiel will be the woman of the night. She is an ultra-talented DJ who ecstasy her crows with her adrenaline rushing sets. She is the founder of the Tribal Dance label and constantly immersed in the most refined and attentive club culture.

Last but not least: Rødhåd. His techno style is always deep, powerful and melancholic. Back in 2012, he broke through when he was named ‘’Break Through Artist Of The Year’’ by Resident Advisor. Since then he has toured in Japan and, Australia and other international places.
