Dear SW friends,

Together we would end this summer with a bang and celebrate in freedom. It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that SWF 2020 will be postponed until 2021 because of the new restrictions due to COVID-19. We are just as devastated as you all are and couldn’t wait to make this edition better than ever. Unfortunately, this summer wasn’t meant to be.

We therefore hope to see you all again next year and ensure you that our 8th edition we be one to remember. Since SW is affiliated with ‘Save your ticket, enjoy later’ (a contingency plan supported by the entire Dutch cultural sector), your ticket will be automatically valid for next year. Go to there webpage by clicking here for more info. Of course, we will also offer the option to request a refund. This goes for everyone who bought their ticket to an official channel (SW website, Resident Advisor, Festicket and Ticketswap).

We are currently working hard on all technical aspects to make the process as smooth as possible for everyone. Please give us some time to take care of this. All ticket buyers will receive a personal email as soon as possible where you be able to let us know your preference. Either transferring your ticket on to next year, or request a refund. We hope you will support us and everyone that’s involved in our festival in these crazy times by saving your ticket for 2021.

Finally we would like to thank all suppliers, freelancers, creatives, artists and crew for all their hard work these recent months. And of course our thanks also goes out to all of our visitors who looked forward to SWF just as much as we did. The summer of 2021 will be ours again!

In case you’ve already bought your ticket for SWF 2020, we’ve written down the most common questions you might have about the next steps.


When will the next edition of SWF take place?

Because of the new corona virus measures taking by the government, no big events are allowed until at least September 1st, 2020. Because it’s still uncertain how the situation will develop after this date, we’ve decided to reschedule the event to August 2021.


Will the line-up remain the same for the next edition?

We’re working hard to make this possible. This depends on multiple factors but we’re are doing our very best to make it happen and ensure we have another all star line-up ready for you guys in 2021. When we know more, we’ll inform all ticket buyers.


I already bought a ticket for SWF 2020. What are my options? 

Everyone who bought a ticket has received an email  where they goy to choose between two options until the 11th of June. The first option is to save your ticket for next year. We’re part of the ‘Save your ticket – enjoy later’ campaign, supported by the government. We hope many of you will keep supporting us through these difficult times and choose this option. For more info regarding this campaign, take a look at: https://www.saveyourticket.nl. Of course you can also choose for the second option: ask for a refund. Just fill in the mailadress you’ve bought your ticket with, and we’ll refund you as soon as possible.


I bought multiple tickets, is it possible to request a refund for only half of the order?

No, the option you choose applies for all purchases you made with that mailadress. So if you bought 4 tickets, you can either save all four or request a refund for all four. It’s not possible to save two tickets and request a refund for the other two when they’ve been bought with the same mailadress.


If I save my ticket for next year, will I receive a new ticket or do I need to save my current one?

Yes, you will receive a new ticket. Please note that new tickets will be send to you as soon as the ticket sale for SWF 2021 starts. You won’t receive a new ticket right away.


When can I expect my refund? 

We’re doing our best to process everything as soon as we can. Please take into consideration that we’re in a unique situation and that the refund process will take a bit longer than you might be used to. We’re striving to refund everyone in the following weeks/ months.


I’m not sure yet which option to choose. Until when do I have the time to decide?

We can imagine you need some time to think about it. The moment you will receive the email with both options explained, you have 2 weeks to let  us know what you want to do.

If you don’t fill in anything, your ticket will automatically be transferred to next years.


What happens with my locker / shuttle service ticket? 

The choice you make (save your ticket or apply for a refund) will automatically be processed for all order made with your mailadress. Did you (for example) buy an entrance ticket + locker ticket and did you choose the option of saving your ticket? Then both tickets will automatically be converted to tickets for 2021.


What do I need to do if I bought my ticket through a reseller? 

When you’ve bought your ticket through one of our official resellers like Festicket or Resident Advisor, you will also receive an email from the organisation with both options (save your ticket or apply for a refund).

Other channels like Tickettack, Marktplaats etc. are NOT official ticket partners. For questions you might have about tickets that are bought through these platforms, it’s best to contact them directly.
